Presence

Who's home. Already answered.

It's the first thing you see, every time. Arrivals and departures land the moment they happen — so the question running quietly in the back of your head is answered before you ask it.

  • Live, not stale

Every arrival pushes through as it happens. No refresh. No “last seen four hours ago.”

  • Places that mean something

Home, school, the office, Grandma's. Mark the few that matter and “out” becomes specific.

  • Not a tracker

Your family sees home or away — never a trail. No history of where anyone has been is kept.

The hearth

It warms up when everyone's in.

The background isn't decoration — it's the status. The whole surface shifts with the state of the house, so you read the room before you read a word.

4 of 4 home

Everyone's in. The hearth is warm, and nobody has to text to find out.

The mantel

Everything else, one glance away.

Under presence sits a small stack of cards that reorder by what matters right now. When something's new it speaks up. When it's empty it steps aside.

Shared note

One note the whole family writes on.

Not a chat. One little space anyone can edit — and when someone changes it, it glows until everybody's seen it.

The family list

The list that's already updated when you get there.

Add milk at home, watch it appear in someone's hand at the shop. Items sort themselves into aisles on their own.

The shared shopping list, grouped into Produce, Dairy & Eggs and Pantry.

Important dates

The dates you can't be the one to forget.

Birthdays, your anniversary, Thursday's flight — held by the family, not by one person's memory.

Important dates: a flight to Spain in 12 days, then birthdays and an anniversary.

Home status

Is the house okay?

Your HomeKit accessories, summarised in a line. Deeper control is one tap down.

Places

Your family's map, not the world's.

Drop a pin on school, the office, the gym, Grandma's — the handful of places that actually mean something.

Saved places: School, Office, Grandma's and Gym, each with a small map.

Home Screen widget

You don't even have to open it.

Who's in, who just left, and a single tap to lock every door behind you — right where your thumb already is.

Privacy

Private by default. Not by setting.

There's no network to join, no profile to fill in, no strangers to accept. Hearthkin holds only what your household puts in it, and shows it only to your household.

No trackers, ever

No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Nothing follows you into other apps or across the web.

Presence, not a trail

Location is used only to tell your family you're home or away. No movement history is stored, and it never leaves your family.

Leave whenever

Delete your account from inside the app in a couple of taps. Your content and Sign in with Apple connection go with it.

Sign in with Apple. Notes, lists and dates sync through Hearthkin's own servers so every phone stays current. Full details in the privacy policy.

Light the hearth.

About a minute's work: sign in, name your family, send one invite. Then close the app and let it do the quiet part.
